What is Chefs for Change?

Chefs for Change is a fundraising dinner series that will pair the burgeoning Durham food scene with the needs of families experiencing homelessness. This is more than a dinner – we hope to create an atmosphere of a fine dining experience with a purpose. A distinguished chef will serve three or more courses at a ticketed dinner with the proceeds benefiting Families Moving Forward. Tickets will be sold online in advance to 75 attendees and will be held at the Rickhouse in Durham.

What are the Dates?

The 2017 Chefs for Change Dinner Series:

  • Launch Party – Monday, February 20
  • Dinner Series 1 – Monday, April 17
  • Dinner Series 2 – Monday, June 19
  • Dinner Series 3 – Monday, August 21
  • Dinner Series 4 – Monday, October 16
  • Series Finale GALA – Friday, December 8

How much are the Tickets?

Tickets are to the Launch Party are only $25 and includes yummy noshes and complimentary wine and beer. The Dinner Series tickets will be $75 a piece and will include a fine dining experience of a three course meal with complimentary wine and beer. The Chef line-up for the Dinner Series will be unveiled at the Launch Party on February 20 from 6:30-8:00 pm!

At the Launch Party and afterwards online, Families Moving Forward will be selling a limited number of Series Passes, which provides the attendee tickets to all four events in the Chefs for Change Dinner Series and the Series Finale GALA at a 10% discount. Stay tuned for more information!

Tickets are only sold in advance online and are expected to sell out!
